The story behind New Growth in the Light
Beside the broad face of a cut log, young evergreen branches catch a small opening of sunlight. Their bright needles stand out against moss, wood, and deep forest shadow. The difference in scale is striking: the weight of the old timber and the fine reach of new growth. A small patch of light makes room for both within the same frame.
