The Journey Home

Craig, Alaska

It was early morning as we left Craig, Alaska, making our way toward the ferry that would begin our journey home.

As we crossed a bridge, I caught a glimpse of the mountains rising above the morning fog. We stopped the van, and I stepped out into the cool, fresh Alaskan air to capture one final photograph.

The water was still. The mountains were quiet. The morning light was just beginning to reach across the landscape.

Our work was finished. Everything we had come to do was behind us, and the long journey home was ahead.

There was something fitting about that moment. After all the miles, the people, and the experiences, Alaska gave us one last quiet scene before we left.
