The story behind Layers of the Shore
Dark ridges of stone run across the foreground, catching light along their edges. Farther into the frame, scattered rocks break that repeated pattern. In black and white, the shore becomes a study of weight and rhythm: bright surfaces, deep seams, and the spaces between them. The photograph finds a sense of movement in a landscape made almost entirely of stone.
